RIP brother....RIP Kevin.
.
Today my brother died. His memory will never be forgotten by his family and friends around the world, especially his son... See, this never happened....The instant a dad holds his child for the first time, he instinctively becomes a protector –- the hero who will do whatever it takes to safeguard the baby he brought into this world. We are now your hero just as your daddy always will be.
.
On May 29, 2011, Police Officer Kevin Will was struck and killed by a drunk driver as he investigated a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcyclist on the Loop 610 North, near Yale Street, at approximately 3:15 am.
.
Officer Will was interviewing a witness to the motorcycle accident when the drunk driver drove around barriers and emergency vehicles that were blocking the closed freeway. Seeing the vehicle approach, Officer Will warned the witness to jump out of the way. The citizen was able to jump to safety moments before Officer Will was struck and killed.
.
The driver was taken into custody at the scene and was charged with intoxicated manslaughter for Officer Will's death.

We come from a very large family. We are spread thinly around this world. We are of different backgrounds, and creeds, and religions, and have some different beliefs, and thoughts, yet we share many of the same ideals. We have and share many other beliefs, but we believe foremost in the "Thin Blue Line".
.
Prison Break Tattoos supports the men and women who take chances and risk their lives daily to serve you and the ones you cherish the most. We salute and honor you, as you are true heroes.
.
Not many people could or would understand a blue line tattooed on my skin. It is not fancy or detailed in traditional ways and people do not need to understand it, it's for me, and every cop out there. And when one of them sees it, they know what it means, and the look in their eyes is more than anything I could have ever hoped to achieve...it's thank you a thousand times over.
.
Take a moment today to stop and thank those who have spent the day working away from family, friends and loved ones, to protect the things you cherish most.
.
It takes a few seconds to thank an officer, shake the hand of a firefighter, salute a member of the armed forces or say thank you to any public service employee.
